I have a 6mm 14k gold mens wedding band and it is currently a size 14 and want to get it down sized to a size 12. Going down 2 sizes and with the price of gold so high now I would think they would not charge anything due to the left over gold but that does appear to come into play. Why? If I was upsizing 2 sizes I know I would be paying for gold to do that why if they are taking gold out?
You’ll need to pay for the "labor" involved. Downsizing two sizes isn’t really that much gold either…ask them what they do with it.
Thinking of ‘popping the question’ to my other half. Is there such a thing as mens engagement rings? Something plain and simple, like a plain silver or white gold band (maybe with a diamond)? Where can I buy one from or is it a daft idea? Thanks!

I’m not looking to buy a gold ring. I don’t know whether to go for titanium, platinum or silver though. And we’re not going to include gem stones. Just a simple ring. Also, how long does it take before you receive it? After I get my fiance’s ring size and they size it for him how long will it take? Thanks for your help!

One thing to note, if you check their site out, totally ignore their "order rings 1/2 size smaller" advice – - its totally not true and we had to exchange my fiance’s ring because we listened to them. They took care of the exchange really fast and smoothly so I have no complaints at all. When I called in with a question, I talked to a live person.
My fiance found a ring at Kay Jewelers that he liked that was 7mm wide. We recently found another that he likes that is 8mm wide. He isn’t a tiny guy or anything…. nor is he huge. He’s about 5′10 or 5′11 and 200 pounds. Do you think an 8mm band is too wide?
my husband’s band is right at that size. he is 6′1". his friends call it his "noggin thumper". on the up side, it never, and i mean NEVER, gets overlooked when we are out. ladies know quickly that he is a married man. lol. go with whatever you and he like. i personally like the look of a large band on a man’s larger hand.

get into the eBay forums and see what’s happening on eBay.
I don’t know what your rings are for, but maybe you aren’t advertising them in the best advertising way, or maybe for a lot of things, but eBay has raised its fees and taken people off of eBay for charging excessive shipping costs, etc. So read the forums and see if you fall into any of those categories, and meet with others who are having problems on eBay and ask your question there.
Should I take them to a pawn shop? Sell them on eBay? Use one of those places they announce on TV that claim to give cash for gold? Please help. Thanks.
I recommend cash4gold you see on tv. They’re paying out higher, and a good trick is to always call them up after they send you payment to haggle on the price.
